Description
This unusual and distinctive model from arguably the world’s most prestigious watch manufacturer is an annual calendar with a regulator dial, meaning the hour, minute and second hands don’t share the same register. The hour and second hands can be found on the upper and lower subdials, respectively, while the minute hand uses the main dial. The ebony-black smaller dials stand out on the graphite dial and the white stick hands enhance the minimalist aesthetic. The annual calendar—meaning the date only needs to be manually adjusted at the end of February—is displayed via two windows for the day and month that lie either side of the hour subdial while the date is discreetly displayed in a small aperture at 6 o’clock, completing the symmetry. Fittingly for such a watch, even the movement is unconventional. It’s run on an automatic 31-260 REG QA movement with gold micro-rotor, visible through the exhibition caseback.
