The MB&F Horological Machine No. 6 “Space Pirate” in titanium embodies a fusion of sci-fi design and mechanical bravura. In a limited run of just 50 pieces, this titanium MB&F creation is as rare as it is audacious—more sculpture than wristwatch, yet engineered with uncompromising horological integrity.

Its case spans roughly 49.5 × 52.3 × 20.4 mm, sculpted in Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V with organic, curved forms that mimic a stealth spacecraft. At each corner, sapphire crystal domes reveal the inner workings: two of them house rotating semi-spherical hour and minute indicators, while the rear ones contain turbine regulators that manage rotor speed. A central flying tourbillon sits beneath its own dome and can be shielded by a retractable titanium protective “lid,” designed to guard the mechanism from UV light when closed.

Inside beats a vertical-laying engine of over 475 components, running at 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz) and offering approximately 72 hours of autonomy. The automatic winding is managed by a platinum “battle-axe” rotor, whose spin is regulated by the twin turbines. The triple-dome architecture, bold titanium casework, and H-M6’s open design reinforce MB&F’s ethos: pushing the boundaries of what a watch can be, where artistry and engineering converge in a wearable spacecraft of time.
