Description
The Legacy Machine Perpetual by MB&F features a stainless steel case measuring 44 mm in diameter and 17.5 mm in thickness. The movement, developed by Stephen McDonnell for MB&F, is a marvel of horological engineering. It includes a fully integrated perpetual calendar with a dial-side complication and a mechanical processor system architecture that incorporates an inbuilt safety mechanism. This manual-winding movement is powered by two mainspring barrels and showcases a bespoke 14 mm flying balance wheel, which is visible on top of the movement.
The watch is distinguished by its superlative hand finishing, respecting 19th-century craftsmanship. This includes internal bevel angles, polished bevels, Geneva waves, and hand-made engravings. The movement boasts a power reserve of 72 hours and is composed of 581 components and 41 jewels.
The functions and indications of the watch include hours, minutes, day, retrograde date, month, retrograde leap year, and a power reserve indicator.
